DigitalWire360 could not be where it is today without our employees. When you can create a culture that is open to sharing ideas, open to being creative in your own space and open to calling the people you work with your second family, the opportunities are endless.
Chief Dynamo Amy Packard Berry is proud the employees at DW360 feel they are a part of this type of open culture. But don’t take our word for it – DW360 has been recognized in the Top 10 Best Places to Work by the Phoenix Business Journal for the second year in a row!
We were honored to attend the Phoenix Business Journal’s BPTW event last week at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa along with some of the most respective company’s in the Valley. The construction-themed event focused on building positive workplace culture, with Tonka bulldozer and crane centerpieces and attendees dressing the part in hard hats and safety vests. A wide variety of business were represented, from micro business (under 49 employees) to extra-large (more than 1,000 employees) across just about every industry imaginable.
With so many admirable companies like Best Western, Arizona Diamondbacks, PayPal and Humana among our company, it’s humbling to know that even as a micro company, our office culture is worth recognition.
As a Top 10 contender (two years and counting!), we’ve been featured in PBJ’s Best Places to Work issue. Checkout our responses here, or pick up a copy to see the full list!
Why do you think your company or organization was named a BPTW?
Everyone on the DigitalWire360 team is treated as equals and all are considered an integral part of our agency family. We support and respect each other, our individual passions and creative processes. We believe it’s our differences that strengthen our team.
What is your favorite/most effective perk that your company or organization offers?
Each month our team nominates our “Stud of the Month” based on staff voting through an app called Tap My Back. It serves as a reminder to celebrate the daily wins and helps to encourage teamwork through peer-recognition, plus the bonus incentive generates just the right amount of motivation for friendly competition.
What does your company or organization do to promote teamwork?
Among the team are artists, musicians, makers and movers. All of their passions bring something to the table and contribute to our company culture. We try to help cultivate these passions in any way we can whether it’s hosting a team outing to support our graphic designer’s latest art exhibit or volunteering for nonprofit events dear to our employees’ hearts.
What has been your company or organization’s most successful team building activity?
This past year, we celebrated five years in business with an axe throwing party. We all encouraged each other to throw until we each hit a bullseye and we nailed that goal. This was a great and unusual way for us to cut loose.
What does it mean to achieve Best Places to Work status?
It’s humbling and rewarding to know we have created an environment where the team is thriving and the employees are proud. We work hard to cultivate a culture that puts people first, and being named a BPTW company proves we’re doing something right.
